Elinor Ho is the Managing Partner and Principal Advisor of Secure Planning Strategies, bringing more than 30 years of experience in comprehensive financial and wealth management planning. She is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor®, Chartered Financial Consultant®, and Chartered Special Needs Consultant®, and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance. Since 1994, Elinor has worked closely with professionals, small business owners, retirees, and families with special needs family members to help them achieve financial clarity, confidence, and long-term security. In 2011, she merged her established practice with Secure Planning Strategies to expand the breadth of services available to her clients and their families.
Elinor is also deeply committed to financial education. In 1997, she founded E.K.H. Financial Education L.L.C., an organization focused on financial and retirement planning education for employees of a Michigan-based automotive company. Through her teaching, students gained practical strategies to build financial independence. She continued teaching financial planning courses for employees of a well-known automotive company from 1998 through 2010.
Passionate about helping others build meaningful financial futures, Elinor is especially dedicated to empowering women to achieve financial independence, supporting business owners through successful transitions, and assisting multi-generational families in preserving and passing on their legacies.
A recognized community leader, Elinor is the past President of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Greater Detroit Chapter, as well as the Association of Chinese Americans. She previously served as Treasurer of Winning Futures, an organization providing mentorship and scholarships to high school students. Elinor currently serves as Vice President of Finance for OCA – Asian Pacific American Advocates and as a High‑Net‑Worth Council Member for OSAIC Broker/Dealer.
In recognition of her leadership and community impact, Elinor received the Corp! Diversity Business Leader Award in 2018, along with numerous community and leadership awards from the Jaycees and Junior Chamber International.
Elinor is the proud mother of two sons, Wesley and Allister.
